People Friendly Business

Hi, I’m Grazia Maria an Italian from Sicily.

I help companies and organizations of all kinds to design services, experiences and processes closer to people, simplifying activities, overcoming organizational complexity and reshaping the way people work. The result is more robust, more innovative and more profitable organizations ready to face the challenges of today’s world.

I’m on a mission to change the way organizations and corporate work. I imagine a world based on collaboration and co-creation, where customers and employees drive the organization’s action every day. I envision a world where trust and transparency are the founding values and where people can address and solve their challenges originally and creatively. I imagine a world genuinely inspired by people!

That’s why I’ve brought to the world my People Friendly Business©

\

A unique mix of competences

Design, Coaching, Facilitation and Business skills are combined to generate robust solutions to solve your issues.

The magic of facilitation

People Friendly Business recipe for success is based on active collaboration among all the different stakeholders within the organization, thanks to masterful facilitation. The “collective intelligence” already present in the organization is leveraged upon and put at use. That’s another reason why People Friendly Business is so powerful: ideas and solutions are generated by the same people who will then implement them. The internal obstacles will be less, and the whole process will be smoother!

How I got here

My love story with the way organizations work dates back several years ago, when, as newly graduated, I joined Procter & Gamble in Rome, and I could see all the theories I had studied come to life in front of my eyes.

The love has never faded; instead, it has been enriched with new meanings, tools and perspectives.

A short but intense experience in an Internet start-up (1999-2001) was then followed by a long period in Vodafone Italy, where I had my “first” AHA! moment.

Pushing boundaries

Professionally born as a Controller then mutated into a Procurement Manager, in my years in Vodafone, I developed a passion for processes and efficiency. I also developed a broader understanding of the underlying “human” component of organizations and how this profoundly influences the way organizations work and perform.

Being part of many change projects helped me to further hone my skills in the area adding to my strong analytical skills (yes: I find Excel sexy!!), project management skills and a full new dimension of cultural and organizational change management.

When I “met” Design Thinking and it was love at first sight. I quickly understood how powerful the methodology is not only to innovate, to create new products or services but also to improve the way each organization designs its strategies, processes and the way they make decisions.

In the last years, I then pushed my boundaries further forward and added to my MSc Degree in Economics and Business from LUISS University in Rome, a certification in Project Management (Prince2), Change Manager (APMG International) and became a Design Thinking facilitator.
